It seems despite all the efforts by the government and non government organizations child marriage is unstoppable. Rural guardians favoring early marriage. Early marriage is resulting child pregnancy, when a girl is not ready at all for a child. Even she doesn’t know how to take care of a child.
But guardians are failing to realize it. In most cases the girl suffers for rest of the life. But at Magura a girl Shekha Parvin of 15 committed suicide because she couldn’t accept her early marriage.
Shekha Parvin was a student of class ten. Two years ago Shekha’s father married up her with a man of 35. It was very difficult for her to accept. She was so depressed and even didn’t go to the house of her father in law. She committed suicide by hanging herself by her urna (a cloth used by the subcontinent girl and women to cover breast). It is reported that she had exchange of hot words with her father before the incident. A case of unnatural death was filed in local police station.
