Deepika, perfect choice for Olympic promotion!

Badminton legend Prakash Padukone’s daughter, Deepika Padukone played the sport at the state level. But she chose to become an actor instead. In spite of her career in film, the Om Shanti Om (2007) girl is in huge demand from different institutions to promote sports in India.
The open secret is that Deepika is the face of the Force India F1 team. Presently, the Sport Development Corporation (SDC) has approached the actor to take part in a motivational campaign being worked on for the Olympic next year. An offer has also been made to her to become the face of the badminton team in India.
Evidently, the representatives of the board promoting the Olympics believe that Deepika would be perfect for the job because of their searching for a celebrity that people can admire. The true fact is that her so much achievement at such a young age also doubles up as a motivational factor, as does her positive attitude towards sports and fitness.
Deepika is also believed to be keen to go together for the motivational campaign that is aimed towards helping India achieve more glory at the 2012 Olympics.
“Yes, Deepika has been approached and in all the meetings, the officials have insisted on her being the perfect choice because of her strong bond with sports and achievements in life. She’s trying to arrange her dates to start the assignment,” says a member of Deepika’s management team.
When contacted, Deepika said, “Yes, my first love continues to be sports and I would love to any campaign for encouraging people to be involved in sports in our country.” The actor is also a board member of the Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ), an organization dedicated to training Indian athletes for the prestigious competition next year.
