Even urban planners didn’t realize that Dhaka will grow at this pace. Almost every activities of Bangladesh are concentrated in this city which is creating huge pressure in this city.
Now Dhaka is one of the most densely populated cities in the world. This city is failing to offer proper facilities for its residents and growing without planning. Transportation, accommodation, water supply and living cost are the major problems in the city.
A UK based market research company conducts survey to rank and find most livable city in the world. Vancouver of Canada was first for many years. But this year’s survey shows Melbourne is the most livable city.
Last survey showed Dhaka is the second most livable city, this new survey shows now it’s in third position. Harare is first and Papua New Guinea is the second.
Situation of Papua New Guinea has deteriorated, situation in Dhaka also deteriorated. So there is no scope for satisfaction.
