Former Acting Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation M Manzoor Alam today announced gifting a flat in Bangladesh to Saudi Arabian goalkeeper Mohammad Al-Owais for his stellar performance against Argentina in the FIFA World Cup.

Our Chattogram Staff Correspondent reports that Manzoor Alam made the announcement this morning at a program organized at the Mustafa Hakim Bhawan Auditorium in Chattogram to celebrate Saudi Arabia’s victory.

“We are ready to gift goalkeeper Mohammad Al-Owais a flat in Bangladesh as Saudi Arabia won the match against Argentina thanks to his brilliant performance,” he added.

Speaking to The Daily Star in this regard, the former mayor of Chattogram said, “We are looking forward to welcoming Saudi goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais on behalf of the Alhajj Mustafa Welfare Foundation.”

“We have started the process of inviting Mohammad Al-Owais through the Saudi Embassy in Bangladesh,” he said.
