“I came over there and it was his right calf, his left thigh and a few other areas that were cramping at the same time.
“When we were giving him some rest, he said, ‘I’m done. I can’t go on. I need to come out and retire’.
“He was struggling big time but I said to Glenn early on, ‘Look, I think your best bet is to take you off the field.’
