“We always love playing in India because of the crowds and facilities. But I have played in Eden before in the 2016 World Cup and hopefully I will play again tomorrow. But as a player I would like to play more.”
Bangladesh is not only surrounded by several defeats in the tournament, but is also in shock off the field. Shakib Al Hasan once again came into limelight after leaving the team and reaching Dhaka for a day to practice with his mentor Nazmul Abedin.
However, Taskin said the issue had no impact on the team and he appreciated his captain’s dedication.
“No, actually it hasn’t had much impact. I think after he came back, all our guys had a great time. But actually, he went for some improvements, as you know, he didn’t bat as well as he expected. But he went to do some specific exercises to perform well for our team, I think we should appreciate it more. Because he talked to our management, BCB – then he left, and also, we had a rest day that day. So, on official practice day, here he is. So, I think we should appreciate it more, and we have no problems, and we are not affected by any problems.
