Talking about this, Assistant Returning Officer and Kapsia Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Ali Siddiqui said, “I have heard that the Hal candidate has announced to quit the election. Since the time for withdrawal of candidature has expired, he will be considered a candidate as per election rules. So this is his personal announcement.”
Earlier, Hal candidate from Ghazipur-1 and Ghazipur-5 constituencies had also announced to quit the election race.
