Nepal got the permission to use Ctg port

In an effort towards regional cooperation, Nepal got the permission to transit of goods through Chittagong Port.

In light of the decision taken by Prime minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Prim Minister Manmohan Singh last year, this is for the first time Nepal got the permission to use the Chittagong port.

Import Corporation Limited of Nepal is importing 2,389 metric tonnes of diammonium phosphate (DAP) from Morocco. Two Indian wagon trains left the Rohanpur Railway Station for Raxual-Birganj of Nepal via Singabad in Malda district of India.

The imported DAP was carried by cargo boats to Nowapara Railway Station in Jessore.Bangladesh railway loaded DAP in 42 Indian wagons
