Text books with newly modified curriculums will be available to students of l-lX from next January. The government has taken initiatives to pace with current world. The current curriculum was modified in the year 1995. new changes have been made to 111 textbooks.
Students of Class Xl will also have newly revised curriculum based textbooks.
According to the education minister, there will be six compulsory subjects for students of VI-X. These are Bengali (Bangla), Bangladesh O Bishwa Porichoy, Information and Communication Technology and life oriented education. Madrasa students will also have to follow new curriculum. Reproductive health, climate change, autism, and right to information etc will be included. A total of 650 marks will be allocated for these subjects.
According to the education minister, the new curriculum will boost human resource development.
