Panic in Cox’s Bazar after hearing the sound of mortar shelling and firing from Myanmar border

On the other side of Ukhia and Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar, intermittent sounds of mortar shells and firing are again being heard from Myanmar after two days.

Residents of Palongkhali and Vykong, Hanila and Subrang unions of Ukhiya upazila were frightened after hearing the sound of firing from 10 pm on Sunday night till 6 am on Monday.

On the other side of Plangkhali, Vaikong, Hanila and Subrang Union is the Myanmar border. No voices were heard on this border for the last two days – Saturday and Sunday.
