PM Hasina asks ministers to control prices of essential commodities during Ramzan

This meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Tungipara.
Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Secretary Mohammad Salahuddin told reporters after the meeting that he had called an informal cabinet meeting.

According to Salahuddin, Sheikh Hasina asked ministers to take measures especially against hoarders for the Ramadan period so that they do not stockpile essential commodities resulting in an artificial crisis.

He also called upon the new ministers to campaign against hoarding on a regular basis, saying, “Keep the price of essential commodities under control so that common people can live a comfortable life.”
