PM Hasina: No involvement in Dr. Yunus case, request for apology from him

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday said she has nothing to do with Nobel laureate Dr Muhammad Yunus, who has been sentenced in a case accused of violating labor laws.

Muhammad Yunus disinherited his workers, he should apologize to them, he said while answering a journalist’s question at his official residence, Gana Bhawan, in the afternoon.

Sheikh Hasina, who is also chairperson of the ruling Awami League, was addressing an event to exchange views with local and foreign journalists and election observers on Monday, the day after the 12th parliamentary elections.
