Mohsin Bhuiyan, presiding officer of Halimpur Government Primary School, said till 3 pm, only 450 (20.99 per cent) of the 1,906 registered voters in the area had cast their votes.
Similarly, at Dighirpar Lower Secondary School, over 400 votes (18.55) were recorded out of a total of 2,156 voters till 3:30 pm.
Presiding officer Kabir Alam Shah of Purba Patuli Government Primary School said the polling percentage was 720 (25.26) even though the number of voters at the centre was 2,850.
Additional Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer ATM Farhad Chaudhary told Pratham Alo at around 4:00 pm that the election in Bajitpur was conducted peacefully and except for some sporadic incidents, no major complaint was received from any polling station.
