President urged country’s engineers

President Zillur Rahman urged country’s engineers for taking initiatives to develop renewable energy especially biogas to mitigate huge demand of electricity and gas locally.

“Your motto would be to improve the living standard of common people through inventing sustainable technology expending little amount of money,” he said while inaugurating convocation of Rajshahi Engineering Old Students Association (REOSA) at Osmani Memorial Auditorium here.

The President urged the engineers to contribute imbued with patriotism in the welfare of common people.

Terming Bangladesh as one of the most potential countries in the South Asia the President said “we maintain communal harmony, show generosity to others. The country’s people live a hard life to fight with natural adversities.”

Zillur Rahman urged the engineers to work for turning the hardship life of common people into an easy one through help of technology.

“We have to advance with a target to turn Bangladesh as a middle-income country by 2021 on the occasion of golden jubilee of the independence,” the President said.

He urged the people of all walks of life, including the engineers, to take an integrated effort for building a hunger and poverty free `Sonar Bangla’ to materialize the dream of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Describing engineers are the engines of development and driver of progress the President said country’s all notable infrastructures were built by the engineers.
