He said the Bangladesh Prime Minister’s talks with the German Chancellor will be especially important as they are likely to talk about a range of issues, including trade, skills migration and the Rohingya crisis.
Also, Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, UK Secretary of State for Commonwealth and Development Affairs David Cameron, German Federal Minister for Economic Co-operation and Development Svenja Schulze, World Bank Senior Managing Director for Development Policy and Partnerships Axel van Trotsenberg and META Global Affairs President Sir Nick Clegg will meet the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.
Sheikh Hasina is also scheduled to participate in a panel discussion titled “From Pocket to Planet: Scaling up Climate Finance” and attend a community welcome ceremony of Bangladeshi immigrants at the Burgerhaus Garching in Germany.
During the conference, Mahmood said that as the Foreign Minister, he would be attending a panel discussion on ‘Climate Security’, while the Foreign Secretary is also scheduled to attend another panel on ‘Peacekeeping Operations’ at the Munich Security Conference.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to return home on February 19.
