Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) is resuming today after an unscheduled closure of around two months. Necessary security measures have been taken in this regard.
Both the male and female dormitories were opened yesterday.
Ruet authorities suspended the classes for an indefinite period and directed the students to vacant the halls on February 23.This was done due to a day-long clashes between the students of Ruet and Agrani School and College (ASC), located inside the RUET complex. At least 25 people including two photojournalists were injured in that incident.
The academic council took the decision to re-open the university at a meeting with the Vice Chancellor Prof Sirajul Karim Chowdhury in the chair.
He (the VC) sought cooperation from all parts to maintain smooth operation of academic activity.
