Shahid Afridi tested Covid-19 positive

Cricketer Shahid Afridi, former captain of Pakistan team has tested coronavirus positive. This 40 year old cricketer himself twitted this today. He mentioned, “I’ve been feeling unwell since Thursday; my body had been aching badly. I’ve been tested and unfortunately I’m covid positive. Need prayers for a speedy recovery, InshaAllah.”

With this, Afridi has become the first internationally known cricket star who has tested corona positive.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, cricketer Shahid Afridi has been very active in charity activities for his Shahid Afridi Foundation. He visited many rural areas of Pakistan, distributed foods and other essential items to the poor. Many beneficiaries hugged and kissed Mr. Shahid Afridi in gratitude.

He also bought the cricket bat auctioned by Bangladeshi cricketer Mushfiqur Rahim. This was a fund raising initiative to help poor Bangladeshis during the pandemic.
