At the event, TIB gave an Investigative Journalism Award, 2023. Shariful Islam, chief correspondent of Ekushey.com (https://ekushey.com/) from Chattogram, received the award in the regional newspaper category, Zahid Hasan, correspondent of Dainik Kaler Kantho Sawar, received the award. in the National Newspaper category and senior independent television journalist Hassan Misbah received the award in the Electronic Media (TV Channel) category.
Independent Television’s program ‘Talaash’ also received an award in Electronic Media (Documentary).
Speaking on the occasion, TIB President Sultana Kamal said that corruption, injustice, human rights violations and lawlessness are not only tolerated but also protected.
