Woman dies after fall

A woman died after falling from the rooftop of a six-storey building at Sector No-13 of Uttara in the city yesterday. The deceased was Shahin Afroz Rickta, 40, daughter of Moulovi Mohammad Shah Bahauddin. She lived at Mohammadpur. Police said she went to the rooftop of her sister Shamsunnahar’s house, where she came to pay a visit few days ago, and fell down on the ground around 1:30pm. Locals rushed her to a private hospital where doctors declared her dead. Family sources said she had been suffering from mental illness and suspected that she committed suicide.
