Debutant Zakir Hasan reached 82 as Bangladesh went into the tea break on the first day of the first Test at 176-3 against India chasing 513 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Saturday.
After going wicketless in the morning session, Bangladesh lost Najmul Hossain Shanto, Yasir Ali and Liton Das three wickets for 67, five and 19 respectively in the post-lunch session.
But Zakir’s resilience is keeping Bangladesh somewhat in the contest, as the hosts need 337 runs in four sessions to pull off an incredible win.
