After the decision of the District Judge Court, the convicted accused appealed in the High Court. Five years have passed since then, but the hearing of the appeal is yet to begin.
Hafeez Ahmed, public prosecutor (PP) of the Feni court, told Prothom Alo, the hearing of the appeal has not started as the paper book of the case is yet to be prepared.
Important facts of the case like FIR of the case, charge sheet, postmortem report, statements of witnesses are listed sequentially in a paper book.
Ikram’s younger brother Mozammal Haque told Prothom Alo, ‘We want the court’s decision to be implemented as soon as possible. The government should take steps to implement the decision.”
