BUET students protest for 5 hours, strike will continue tomorrow also

The protesting students highlighted five points. They are: Permanent expulsion of Imtiaz Rabbi, a 21st batch student of the Department of Civil Engineering and member of the BCL Central Committee, and cancellation of his hostel seat, as he was the main organizer of a political gathering on the campus on Wednesday night in violation of university rules. Were; Permanent expulsion of five other students (ASM Anas Firdous, Haseen Arman Nihal, Anirudh Majumdar, Zaheerul Islam, Saim Mehmood) from their hostels and campus; Clear answers from the BUET authority on why and how outsiders with political identities entered the campus and whether legal action will be taken against them; Resignation of DSW if first two not met soon; And gave written assurance of not taking any action against the protesting students for harassing them.

Following the protest, the BUET administration on Friday canceled the hostel seat of Imtiaz Rabbi.
