JCD alleges harassment by DB police after arrest of its workers, leaders

“Some overzealous law enforcers have swung into action to corroborate his (Quader’s) statement. They staged a drama with a shoddy script by showing six of our leaders arrested with weapons.
He claimed that law enforcers arrested 20 JCD leaders in just four days between 19-22 August.

Rashed alleged that the arrested student union leaders were subjected to brutal torture in custody. “As the movement for the restoration of democracy, people’s voting rights and freedom of expression gathers pace, the list of poorly scripted dramas such as arms seizures grows longer.”

“We are not at all bothered by the harassment, threats and various fabricated stories by the illegal power grabbers and their accomplices. Our blood-soaked march to democracy will not be stopped by anything. This cannot be stopped as we will move forward overcoming all obstacles. Victory is inevitable for us,” he said.

The JCD leader alleged that Bangladesh Students’ League, the student wing of the ruling party, has pushed the education system towards destruction with its rampant misdeeds including violence, lawless activities and question paper leaks on university campuses.
