Speaking from Myanmar, several members of the Bangladeshi delegation briefed Prothom Alo on Sunday evening.
A delegation led by Mia Mohd Mainul Kabir, Director General of the Myanmar Wing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, arrived in Yangon on Saturday to attend the meeting.
This is the first time since the junta assumed power in Myanmar in February 2021 that a delegation from Bangladesh has visited the southeast Asian country to discuss the issue of repatriation.
