National film award winning actress fined for violating lockdown

Like most of the countries around the globe, Bangladesh is also battling against deadly coronavirus pandemic. Authorities have already declared, now entire country is at risk. People must stay home, especially after 6 pm. Experts are also advising people to use face masks and hand gloves when they go outside of their homes for necessary purposes. Armed forces are also deployed to implement this lockdown.
But national film award winning actress Toma Mirza was caught by a mobile court in Mouchak area of the capital. It was after 6:30 pm and she was not wearing face mask. So the mobile court fined her five hundred taka.
Actress Toma Mirza said, she had to participate in an awareness program for a private television channel. Unfortunately this program crossed 6 pm time limit. But she is not angered with the decision from mobile court. She appreciated this move and said everyone should follow directions from authorities so that we can get rid of this pandemic soon. Besides fining the actress, mobile court magistrate Mahnaz Hossain Fariba also gifted her a face mask.
