Oil, geopolitics dominate Putin’s talks with Saudi Crown Prince

“We talked again about cooperation in OPEC+,” Russian news agencies quoted Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov as saying.

“The parties agree that our countries bear a major responsibility for the negotiations to maintain the international energy market at a reasonable level, in a stable, predictable state,” Peskov said.

Saudi Arabia and Russia are the world’s two largest oil exporters, together controlling one-fifth of the oil pumped every day.

Saudi state news agency SPA said MBS praised joint coordination between the two countries, “which has helped ease tensions in the Middle East.”

“We share many interests and many issues on which we are working together for the benefit of Russia, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Middle East and the world,” the agency quoted the crown prince as saying.
