Rajuk’s chief engineer (implementation) Ujjal Mallick told Prothom Alo that the entire area has been brought under power supply. In the next one year, the entire area will come under water supply system. Now customers can build houses in Purbachal.

The main work of the project would be completed by 2024, apart from beautification, he said. The deadline of the project will not be extended.

According to sources, Rajuk has been conducting various works in the project area including 365 km road, 52 bridges, 43 km lake, protection of the banks of Shitalakshay river and Balu river, supply of water and electricity to the entire area. The organization claimed that they have completed the construction of 315 km of road. The remaining part is under construction. Out of 52, 42 bridges have been completed. They built the main structure of the remaining bridges.

This correspondent came to know that arrangements have been made for power supply in almost the entire area of ​​Purbachal. Water supply work is going on. Many new houses have also been built.
