Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo on Thursday became the first player to score five World Cup goals after converting a penalty in his team’s opening Group H match against Ghana.

He scored in the 64th minute to give Portugal the lead after being tripped up in the box.

Ronaldo was tied with Pelé, Uwe Seeler, and Miroslav Klose for scoring in four World Cups.
