ADP allocation imbalance: housing sector dominates key sectors

Under this sector, officials take reform measures in ministries to prepare skilled manpower and ensure smooth public services. However, the projects are struggling to be implemented due to lack of necessary funds.

The agriculture sector was to receive about 11.5 percent of the total ADP, but received only 4.07 percent. Similarly, the health sector, which was expected to get 11.1 percent, got only 6.16 percent.

Meanwhile, the transport and communications sector, which was earmarked for 17.4 per cent, received about 29 per cent of the total allocation. The power and energy sector received 17 percent against the plan of 14.8 percent.

The Planning Commission suggested taking necessary steps to remove discrepancies between the ADP allocation and the Eighth Five Year Plan as there is still one and a half years left for the implementation of the plan.
