At least six people died in a fire at a hotel in eastern India on Thursday, police said, with rescue teams still searching for survivors.
The fire broke out at Pal Hotel in Patna, the capital of Bihar state, and spread to nearby buildings before it could be extinguished.
“Six people have been killed so far,” a police official told AFP on condition of anonymity, adding that the death toll was likely to rise as rescue operations were still ongoing.
