Pakistan will fly to Sri Lanka to play India in Pallekele on September 2 before playing a Super Four match in Lahore and then return to Sri Lanka for the remaining matches.
Barring any reversal, Pakistan will also play India on September 10 in Colombo.
“As professionals, we have to be prepared. There is some travel and back-to-back matches, but we are excited,” said Azam, who also played down the hype over the clash with India.
“Pakistan and India matches are always high intensity and we will try to play our best cricket on the day but for now our focus is on Nepal and we will not take them lightly.
“It is the first match and it is important,” he said.
