Referring to the role of law enforcement agencies in the national elections, the minister said, “Security forces conducted free elections across Bangladesh through the Election Commission. The Prime Minister also had the same resolve that the elections would be free, fair and good. Not only the people of this country, but people all over the world saw that this election went well. No one could say anything about this. The Prime Minister’s development journey will proceed as before.”
Asked about BNP’s desire to topple the government, the minister said, “They say a lot of things, but people reject them.” They realize that unless they hatch a conspiracy or their foreign masters intervene, they will not be able to win any election. That is why he did not participate in the elections. “People have turned away from him.”
