In response to a question by Jatiya Party General Secretary Mohammad Mujibul Haq Chunnu, Education Minister Deepu Moni said in Parliament on Thursday that it has moved forward to formulate a policy to keep tuition fees at a ‘reasonable level’.
He said that the government will take a decision after reviewing the fee structure of all private universities.
The Private Universities Act 2010 mandates a private university to reserve at least 3 per cent of the total seats for needy but meritorious students to study free of cost, the minister said.
He said that the talented but needy students are able to study at low cost.
