He criticized the police statement that BNP should hold its rallies only where the DMP gives permission. He said the statement implies that the people of Bangladesh have been subjugated. Everything now depends on police approval, including political activities and expression of ideas.
During the discussion at the Bangladesh Shishu Kalyan Parishad, Gayashwar Chandra Roy urged the police force not to stir up a new debate at the venue and said, “We have organized each of our events in a democratic manner and will continue to do so. Some officials of the police People in the force make excessive comments. I would urge senior officers to leave political debates to politicians and avoid getting involved in them.”
