Cannabis and Phensidyl seized near Benapole

Two hundred and forty bottles of Phensydil and one and half kilograms of cannabis was seized from two different villages near Benapole port yesterday. Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) battalion twenty six raided Namaz village on confidential report and they found two hundred and forty bottles of Phensydil. They seized one and half kilogram cannabis while searching a bus at Amrakhali check post.

The smugglers managed to flee. A general diary (GD) is filed to local police station under the narcotics act.

Bangladeshi authority has been repeatedly expressing its concern that neighboring country has become a safe haven for Phynsydil manufacturers. This issue is regularly raised on BGB – BSF meeting. Experts say, Phynsidyl is more destructive than atom bomb as it ruins the youth.
