Grameen Phone, the largest mobile phone operator of Bangladesh has announced one hundred crore taka program to combat present coronavirus pandemic. As part of this program Grameen Phone chief executive has announced that his company will give 30 GB internet data pack for one taka to doctors. Twenty five thousand doctors certified by Directorate General of Health Services will get this facility for next six months.
This internet data pack may be handy for doctors when many of them are treating patients through video call. Moreover video conferencing among professionals have increased when people are trying to stay at home to prevent coronavirus infection.
At the same online press briefing Grameen Phone chef executive also said, subscribers and small entrepreneurs will also get special incentives from Grameen Phone. This company is giving 10 crore minutes free talk time for one crore subscribers. They are also getting hundred percent bonus on every weekly internet pack on purchase using My GP app. Grameen Phone has also reduced its call rate to 48 paisa per minute from 8 am to 12 noon for every subscribers.
