18 years old Habibur Rahman Munna was returning to his home at Purba Tejturi Bazar along with his grandfather after visiting his mother at Samarita Hospital who is under treatment there.
The deceased was returning on foot, while he was passing Sagufta NM housing apartment project, a brick fell on him. He was taken to Samarita Hospital and doctors declared him dead. His father says, how he will inform this to his mother who is under treatment in the hospital?
Habibur Rahman Munna appeared HSC examination from Tejgoan College this year. He wanted to became a fashion designer, already visited a private university at Uttara.
There was no safety net in this 15 storied Sagufta NM housing apartment, but after the incident they hurriedly installed safety net to hide their negligence.
Few months ago another worker died falling from the building, who was working without safety measure. It seems the authority of the likes to run the project without safety measure.
Local people vandalized the ground floor after the incident. Police arrested five workers but officials managed to go for hiding.
Marketing director of the project said, bricks may have fallen from other nearby building because his workers were fitting tiles there. So there is no chance to fall brick from there.
But piles of bricks were seen on the edge of third, seventh, ninth and tenth floor.
