Final mock trade for running new Automated Trading System will be held on November 24 next on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), officials said.
The premier bourse has almost completed its preparation required for new Automated Trading System that will go live by December this year.
In March last, the premier bourse made agreements with NASDAQ OMX and FlexT rade Systems to renew its existing trading system with a next generation trading platform.
“After conducting final mock trading we will be able to asses our preparation ahead of launching new Automated Trading System formally,” said a senior official of the premier bourse.
He said out of 232 stock brokers, above 220 and DSE training centre participated the mock trading held on November 11, 12, 13 and 15 this year.
“We are fine tuning the problems detected in previous mock trades. We have also initiated some interactive programmes to facilitate the stock brokers in a bid to launch the new Automated Trading System successfully,” the DSE official said.
The DSE recently asked all brokers to get their Back Office prepared by or before 13 November 2014.
“We have sent letter to all stock brokers along with giving reminder through phone calls for getting their Back Office ready for new trading system,” the DSE official said.
He said in this regard respective Back Office vendors are working to assist the brokers.
