The first batch of fresh uranium, nuclear fuel from the first unit of Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant, has reached Bangladesh.
According to official sources, the uranium consignment reached Dhaka from Russia on Thursday afternoon through special air cargo.
M Shaukat Akbar, project director of Rooppur Atomic Power Project, confirmed the arrival of nuclear fuel, but would not give details of the air shipment of nuclear fuel due to security reasons.
