A Japanese woman was seriously hurt being pelted with stones while returning to Dhaka from Cox’s Bazaar during hartal (strike). The incident took place in Satkania upagila (sub-district) at Keranihat at 11 pm on Thursday. Her left eye was hurt. She was primarily treated at Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
During last 48 hour hartal one auto-rickshaw driver died being pelted by brick in Noakhali at kompanigonj, a police was shot, a truck driver was burned seriously and many others injured.
