According to the locals, Abdur Rab and Bolayat Hussain were seriously injured when they were attacked around 9:00 pm on Monday night by rivals over past enmity.
Later, the locals rescued the two and took them to Rajapur Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared them brought dead.
Pulak Chandra Roy, officer-in-charge of Rajapur police station, confirmed the matter and said that the bodies have been recovered.
Jhalkakathi Superintendent of Police Afrazul Haq Tutul said the police have arrested four people in connection with the incident and the rest will be brought to book soon.
