A press release signed by Mohammad Sharif Mahmood, senior public relations officer of the Ministry of Home Affairs, was issued today, Monday, with details of the discussions.
The press release said Peter Haas met Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan at 2:30 pm yesterday, Sunday. In the meeting held in a very cordial atmosphere, the upcoming elections, October 28 rally, Durga Puja, the issue of Rohingyas fleeing to Bangladesh and other relevant issues were discussed. During the discussion, Peter Haas asked many questions and wanted to know views on various issues.
The minister spoke at a briefing after the meeting. In response to questions from journalists at the briefing, the minister made statements based on general issues discussed at the meeting and information outside the discussion.
