Police have arrested accused Anwar Hussain in the case of shooting dead 20-year-old rickshaw puller Mamun Hussain in Ishwardi Upazila of Pabna.
He was arrested in the early hours of Thursday from Arambaria area of the upazila. However, the police have not been able to recover Anwar’s weapon used in the murder.
Ishwardi police station in-charge Orbinda Sarkar said that the court has given three-day remand to the police to interrogate Anwar Hussain in custody. He is being interrogated and efforts are being made to recover the weapon.
