In early days computers needed huge space. But as technology developed it became smaller and
smaller. Today’s desktop computers are capable of doing much more job than those early days
giant computers. Laptop computer is now replacing desktop computers. It is capable of doing
almost all the jobs done by a desktop computer.
But Problem is digital divide. Not all people can afford a laptop. Bangladesh govt. has said
it will produce laptop locally. It was said that, people will get these laptops in June.
Month of June is gone. But even production has not started yet. Now state minister for post
and telecommunication says, laptop production will be started today and it will be available
at the end if the month. He said this on parliament yesterday.
So those who are unable afford to buy costly laptops can wait for some days. Because it is
said that it will cost only 10 thousand taka.
