The government has decided to reduce the fee of special number-plate fee of motor vehicles.
Owners of motor vehicles are required to use special number-plate with security tag. The BRTA ( Bangladesh Road Transport Authority) has already started to collect Taka 2 thousand 500 to 5 thousand 175 according to different classes of vehicles from 11 October.
Owners of motor vehicles protested this price hike and threatened not to adopt newly introduced number-plate. Hence, the government has decided to reduce the fee.
The newly proposed fee ranges from Tk.1 thousand and805 to Tk.3 thousand and 652 according to different types of motor vehicles.
