The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission has reduced the price of liquefied petroleum gas, or LPG, which is used for cooking and powering vehicles, by more than Rs 5 per kilogram for January.

This means that for a 12 kg LPG cylinder, which is commonly used in households, consumers have to pay Rs 1,232 including VAT, as the price is Rs 105.63 per kg. The price of cylinder has been reduced by Rs 65 since December.
