Bangladesh sends back 288 Myanmar security personnel to their homeland

Bangladesh on Thursday repatriated 288 members of Myanmar's security forces who had come to seek refuge across the border. The group included members of the Border Guard Police (BGP), Army and immigration units.

According to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) public relations officer Shariful Islam, the coordinated repatriation operation began at 6:00 am at the site managed by Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA).
