Popular TV actress Afsana Ara Bindu, who recently tied the knot with businessman Asif Salahuddin Malik, said she will end her showbiz career in favour of her marriage.
Bindu and Asif, who heads Asif Apparels Limited, got married on October 24 in a small, private ceremony at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel, in the presence of family and friends.
“A grand reception will be held towards the end of the year or earlier next year,” Bindu said. Shedding light on her post-marriage life, she said, “I will not continue my career in showbiz; I would like to give priority to my husband and family.”
Bindu has kept herself away from the small screen for over a year. She has worked in three films so far, including Toukir Ahmed’s “Daruchini Dwip,” Khijir Hayat Khan’s “Jaago” and PA Kajol’s “Piriter Agun Jole Digun.” In her upcoming flick, Sohel Arman’s “Ei Toh Prem,” she stars opposite Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan.
