The court framed charges against seven accused including Babul. The other six accused named in the charge sheet are Mohd Kamrul Islam Shikdar alias Musa, Ehteshamul Haq alias Bhola, Mohd Motaleb Miya alias Wasim, Mohd Anwar Hussain, Mohd Khairul Islam alias Kalu and Shahjahan Miya.
The Mahmuda murder case trial is going on in the Chattogram Court under Third Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge Jasim Uddin.
Babul’s wife Mahmuda was killed on 5 June 2016 while dropping their son in a school bus in GEC Mod area of Chattogram city. On June 5, Babul had filed a case of murder as a plaintiff in the city’s Panchlash police station.
