The High Court also asked the investigation reports of these cases filed seven years ago to be submitted to the concerned court within the next three months. After submitting the report, an affidavit will also have to be filed in the High Court.

In 12 out of 56 cases of Basic Bank loan scam, Mohammed Ali was made an accused. He was arrested by the ACC on 9 June 2019.

On April 20 this year, the High Court issued the rule while hearing his bail plea filed in three cases of embezzlement of 1.78 billion taka at Paltan police station.

Following the rules, a hearing was held in the High Court on November 8 and asked for updated information about the Basic Bank loan scam.
